CG Masters Academy
A new online school teaching all aspects of character and creature production for games and VFX. I've heard excellent things about their anatomy course. EXCELLENT things. (Yes I'm teaching it)

The Glory and the Grace
Started as a study from a Michelangelo bozzetto I had on my desk, and I decided to make it into my sculpt - a full ecorche, whilst keeping as much of the crazy exaggerations and distortions from the original sculpt.
Renders done in zbrush, with some comp work in photoshop.

Patroclus, study from Jacques-louis David
Started over a year ago, and forgotten about. A bit rough and ready, but it's done because I say it's done.

Olympia - new gesture sculpt and tutorial
Since I started the digital sculpting class at Double Negative over a year ago, I've always promised that I would do a tutorial running through how I approach a zbrush sculpt when working with the model.
Well here it is. It tips the scales at just over 2 hours long, which I know is a stretch, but I did feel that if I sped it all up more it'd be quite difficult to follow. I've chopped it into 4 parts to make it a bit more easily digestible. The sculpt is done over two 3-hour sessions with the model, plus some extra without the model.
There's a couple of weird things that I do in there because I was also doing it as a live demo for sculpture students at the Florence Academy of Art, but hopefully it's nothing too distracting.
It's all uploaded to vimeo, here are the direct links:

and just a turntable of the final sculpt is here:

Charcoal/chalk drawing timelapse
Timelapse from several sessions of a large charcoal drawing.
I took a photo every 2-3 hours, from the start, although forgot to take a photo on the final day before I framed the damn thing, so the video finishes on the neeearly complete drawing.
Photos are all snaps on my phone, so there's lens distortion and all sorts of nastiness going on.
It's not a how to or anything, just did it for my own interest.
